"Unprofessional firms appointed to take care of matters"

I was fortunate to buy a television set two years ago and got a tv license from the counter late December 2017. A few months later my place got broken in and what I worked so hard for has vanished. Then there was the tv license which I completely forgot about due to a contract which ended and I was now unemployed. I was fortunate to get another job sometime last year. This year I made a mistake to enquire how much was due on my tv license. After the enquiry I received numerous calls from agents indicating that they are from "Khumalo Masondo Attorney's". You won't believe what happened next, my intentions were to settle this debt because tv license is cheap. After the enquiry, instead of paying what is owed... I ended up paying for three or four people. Instead of R550, they billed me R1200.Even though I made minimum payment, it increased every month.They are supposed to be professional, but instead they tend to suck the blood out of honest people who struggle to make ends meet. What about people who never pay tv license. There are millions out there who make use of the SABC and what it has to offer, yet still these people are not billed. Us who don't make use of the platform gets nailed. Truth be told, SABC has to hire or appoint more professional people to take care of their business. I mailed these guys before telling them that I don't even watch television, but I am willing to pay because when the time is right I would like to get myself another t.v.. They are so called attorney's but have no proper protocols. Communication is key so they should start using it. Inform people before you just take dramatic decisions.
