Could not care less about your furniture...

I have used Key Moves an number of times for long distance moves since 2014 and I have even recommended them to people looking for a decent removal company. With our previous move however, which was in February 2018, they broke a few items, but I figured that sometimes things do break when moving so I left it. We hired them again for a move from Pretoria to George and this time they damaged quite a few items. On pickup, the very first leather couch that was moved out of the house was hooked on something at the front door and torn. We contacted Key Moves who in turn apparently contacted the supervisor on site. From here on, it appeared that they were taking move care when loading items on the shuttle. The load was delivered on Sunday in George and when the truck was opened, it was immediately apparent that there was going to be an issue. The leather couches and lazy boys were packed on top of the metal garden furniture, which damaged these items quite severely, and as the items were being offloaded it was clear that absolutely no care or consideration was taken to not damage the furniture. Among other the following items were severely damaged: (1) An entire Grafton Everest lounge suite consisting of 3 leather couches were severely damaged - I am not sure that these can be repaired (2) 2 Leather Lazy boys has literally been stuffed or torn on every corner (3) A section of a 1960's wooden dining room table had corner broken clean off (4) An entire box of antique dining ware that was clearly marked with fragile tape and marked as such were broken (5) A wooden headboard has been scratched severely, it looks like it was sc****d over a cement floor and actually has section where pieces of wood has been torn from it. These are but a few of the items that were damaged. It is clear that this company has a complete and utter disregard for the fact that this furniture is irreplaceable for my mother who is a pensioner and who has inherited these items or has had to work hard to purchase the items that they have destroyed. I would absolutely not recommend this removal company to anyone even again.
