Mr Adrian Pearce inquiry

I would like you ask why with other credit scoring companies they score differently and with "Justmoney" is the scoring criteria more accurate because it's good to know where I stand on my credit scoring because my score now is 642 but from what I checked its 99.9% accurate but with the one furniture account I'm owing Around R8000 and not R10444 that was the only thing I picked up but my debt amount of R19000 I will complete end of month so I wanted to know by how many points will it go up from my current 642?

Dear Adrian,

Thank you for reaching out. Each credit bureau has its own way of interpreting your financial information and applying calculations, depending on its policies. Some credit bureaus may also take longer to process information and thus may lag behind other bureaus in updating your score. However, your credit score will generally fall within the same grading category across the board.

Your credit score is based on your credit behaviour, but it can take time to improve. Updates are available around the 15th of every month, so do check in again then.

If you manage your credit well, your credit score will gradually increase. Conversely, if you default on your payments or utilise more than 30% of your available credit, your credit score will be negatively affected.

If you’d like some personalised pointers, you can log in to your JustMoney profile to live-chat to a coach or request a FREE call back. They will be able to offer tips for improving your score 😊.

Make checking your credit report part of your monthly habits - it empowers you to spot what could be affecting your score.

We hope this is helpful.

Stay savvy, The JustMoney team
