TERRIBLE SERVICE AND **********

<p>Just Letting Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg </p> <p> </p> <p>I am writing this in absolute shock that a company can carry out business in such a manner. I have rented for 6 years from various realtors and thought I had experienced the worst but this was not the case. </p> <p> </p> <p>I rent a one bedroom for R9 950 a month in Morningside and agreed that the only expense I would have would be electricity which we agreed to R100. I have been receiving invoices adding R100 for a service tenant fee and extra electricity. Apparently the fee is for the 24 hr service they provide? However, I have never come across such a thing (in my lease) & ESPECIALLY because I have had a bent lever on my window for months now which has prohibited me from shutting it. I have made Just letting aware of this for several months now and received NO adequate response to fix it except replying vaguely and never doing anything about it. I live by myself as a single women and this is a huge danger to my safety which clearly Just Letting could not careless about. I have complained about numerous maintenance issues in my house which have never been actually dealt with. In terms of 'emergency situations' which I apparently pay for, my toilet blocked & overflowing and after trying to get hold of someone in Just Letting to assist me in my emergency situation, I had to call a plumber and leave work to sort it out. Eventually, hours later I got a response.</p> <p> </p> <p>With regard to payments, I received a sms saying I owed R500 after paying my rent and only a few days once I enquired about it, I was told it was an error? I actually owed R350 for my service tenant fee? I have yet again put up a fuss and said I did not agree to this and now I have been credited with R500 without an explanation as to how what entitled them to charge me this service?</p> <p>I moved into a filthy apartment which had not been cleaned in the one month it was empty despite me paying rent? My service fee was not being used there either ?</p> <p>What is more confusing, is after meeting with my landlord is that he is paying a management fee and a finding fee to Just Letting, however the management fee is to service the apartment? I also contacted them saying I want the exact apartment and please can I just sign the papers. I</p> <p>I really advice no one to go through this rental agency.
