Renting AND selling house at the same time!

We wanted to rent a house through Just Letting, specifically mother-daughter estate agent team Miemie and Maudene de Marre. We sent through our application on Monday 16 February. By the Wednesday (18 February 2015) we heard that it was approved and we just had to wait for the contracts. <br> <br> On the Sunday night the 22nd February we heard through an independent acquaintance that the house was being showed for sale over the weekend...after our application was approved!<br> <br> By Monday 23 February we still haven't heard anything regarding the contracts. We contacted them and was told to speak to a supervisor. We were then informed that the owner of the house decided to sell the property and it was no longer for rent. We had 4 days to find new accommodation before it was the end of the month and we all had to move out of our various other houses. <br> <br> The facts are: they new the owner is considering to sell, the showed to house to prospective buyers ALL THE WHILE keeping us on a leash and letting us believe we have a house to move into in a couple of days. Two of us are now sitting without proper accommodation and had to find rooms in temporary places!
