Rental Viewing Cancelled After Aggressive Interaction with Agent - Just Property George

We recently enquired about a rental property through Just Property George and were disappointed by the experience.

After requesting additional information about the property, we only received a response almost 24 hours later. Unfortunately, the response did not address the questions we had asked, including whether the lease could be extended after 12 months, whether municipal costs were included in the rental, and the property's address.

At 08:35 on the day of the viewing, we were informed that the agent would be at the property at 10:00. At no point was it communicated that there was a limited viewing window or that the agent would only remain at the property for a short period.

My husband and I arranged time away from work to attend the viewing. At approximately 10:10, we received a WhatsApp voice note asking whether we were still coming, as the agent was about to leave. I immediately rep**** that we were on our way and then called her.

During the call, I attempted to explain that we were delayed due to work commitments, collecting my husband, and traffic. However, I was repeatedly interrupted and told that my explanation was "nonsense" because the agent had recently travelled the same route. The conversation became so unpleasant that we decided not to proceed with the viewing and ended the call.

We have dealt with several rental agencies while searching for a family home and understand that agents work under time pressure. However, this was the first time we have experienced this type of interaction.

Our concern is not that we were running late, but rather the lack of communication regarding the viewing timeframe and the manner in which the situation was handled. Based on this experience, we would be hesitant to recommend this agency.
