Poor response

My son is renting a house in Brackenfell in the Western Cape. He moved in, in the month of May. He sent photo`s as well as a letter stipulating what he found wrong in the house as it needs to be reported. Barring the smaller concerns there are 2 major problems that is a safety hazard which has been reported and till today, nothing is being done about it. No1 - The bathroom and toilet light switch trips all the lights when it is turned on. Obviously there must be s short, which could cause a fire. The kids are being bathed in candle light at night, as they do not want to take a chance of turning the lights on, which I think is a shame as to what he is renting the house for. If a person needs to go to the toilet, every thing is to be completed in the dark. No 2 - The shower and toilet light fitting in the main bedroom is hanging loose from the ceiling with bare electrical wires sticking out. Any electrical fixtures should be made safe when kids are around. <br> I have e-mailed and phoned to complain - Yet there is only excuses that the owner cannot get hold of, but the rent money must be paid on time.
