Never ending nightmare!!!

WORST property agency I've ever come across. The apartment was in a ********** state when we moved in from the previous tenant - ****roaches everywhere, stained carpets, broken glass roof covering, mould and horrific stench in the bathroom. There was NO ingoing inspection?? This is basic property protocol? Due to Covid, money was tight for all of us and we asked Celeste for a rent reduction and she said that the OWNER said no. We then cancelled our lease, only to be contacted by the owner himself saying he was more than happy to reduce rent by 50 to even 60% but it was unfortunately too late, as Just Properties had **** and was totally dishonest with us as they didn't want to lose money. How shameful. We cancelled in JUNE and only got our deposit back now in SEPTEMBER - 4 MONTHS later? with ridiculous amounts of fees and penalties! Our deposit of +R7k was returned with R1k ? we left the apartment in a condition that was 10 times better, yet we still got hardly any of our deposit back - and that was after months of asking Celeste Meyer (Stellenbosch branch) to get back to us. The service is absolutely appalling and their agents are not even REMOTELY competent. I don't know how they are still in business, it really baffles my mind. Highly, highly suggest you choose another agency!!
