Just Property Walmer Gqeberha no deposit back

Consumers are urged to avoid renting property through Just Property. My experience with them has been horrific. At the first stages of the rental process, they pretend to be professional and ethical and towards the end of the lease agreement they show their true colours.

I moved into a property which they pre inspected and told me all was good. You stand on the side they check the property even though it’s supposed to be a joint inspection. The sliding doors immediately fell off, toilet was leaking, there was mould and stench of mould in the house. The house was dirty. Wardrobe handles falling off. However they told me all was fine in the house and I must report defects within 7 days which I did.

When it was time to move out, they seemingly have no record of defects I listed.

When I moved in there was no electricity to test bulbs, when I move out I’m told about damaged bulbs etc.

Carpets were stained and appeared as such on all inspection reports, when it was time for me to move out - they listed carpets as being burnt. They later removed that. Then they mentioned ceilings as being dirty and also removed that from list.

During the mid inspection report, I report the few things noted as what I needed to repair.

During the exit inspection there were suddenly 100 things wrong that they wanted to bill me for.

It’s a month since moving out. I’ve not received quotations or my deposit back. My calls and emails are not being responded to.

Judging by my research on the internet, renting under Just Property was a huge mistake. I am in the process of taking legal steps to get my deposit back.
