"JUST PROPERTY *******"

What a group of JUST *******!!! I have been renting through Just Property Kimberley in the Northern Cape for the past 2 years and left on such a bad note. Initially, I had query about the profiling of tenants to establish rental fees as two other white couples moved in a month after me, and yet their rent was about R500-R1000 less than mine even though I was the only bread winner and the other couples were both working. In any case, they refused to answer me so I turned a blind eye. Then they tried to get a "tenant service fee" of R100 p/m out of me, which I fought and won for the first year, but they eventually got me for the second year as my contract would not be renewed without this fee. Third time around, I pulled the plug, they included the water bill on top of my rent and would not renew my contract unless the tenant service fee and water bill was settled for the past year. I gave notice and said they can take the fees from holding deposit which I had to pay when I initially moved in. Not only did they take the outstanding fees, they had the nerve to take a R910 for cleaning service, R1170 for breakage and all this after their agents did inspection with me, shook hands and handed over keys, without a single thing out of place. I thought a was doing them a favour having their carpets cleaned out by professionals the day I moved out but clearly they had other ideas. To this day, I have no idea what breakage or cleaning services was taken from my deposit!!! I opened a case with consumer protection agency and appointed a legal rep to assist. I hope this discriminating agency gets what they deserve!!!
