JUST PROPERTY AMANZIMTOTI - DISGUSTING

Currently i am busy with Just Property Amanzimtoti, we signed a lease agreement, asked if a pet is allowed in the block, we were told by the agent that she will speak to the owner. Owner said that they dont seem to have a problem with this, when moving in we were blocked by the Care Taker advising us that no Birds are allowed. Long story short we moved in, agent never followed up with the Care Taker/Body Corporate - Now 2 months later we having problems in the block because of this because the agent did not do her job. In the meantime we took it upon ourselves to get permission from Body Corp but we having problems in the block. I now want to move out and told Just Property that the contract we signed with them is not valid as they went against Body Corp rules, they in turn told me that i will be held liable for Cancellation fees and 2 months rent if they do not get a tenant.

I took this to the Rental Tribunal now as i will not be held liable for Cancellation fees if they were at fault to begin with. If i get out of this lease to go through the correct channels, i will go to the Estate Agency Board to report them aswell as SARS as they want to charge me VAT on rental owed then!!! Since when do you pay VAT on Rent???

I am at the point now to just give my 20 business days notice as per the Credit consumer act and withold me deposit now as i know they going to try and keep my money!
