Doesn't matter what you do, they will find a way to take from you!

<p>I rented out a place in Johannesburg, I kept the apartment in great condition. I didn't add anything to the windows or walls. When I moved out, I expected my full deposit back only for them to deduct R700. When I asked why, Kgomotso from Lonehill branch claims I had stickers on the windows, the fridge was dirty and the cupboards weren't up to standard. Mind you I had scrubbed that place crazy.</p> <p>I then asked her to send me proof seeing as they do an entry and exit inspection. The problem with this is that the entry inspection was done 2 weeks AFTER I had moved in and a day AFTER I had moved out. The contractors had left sticker things on a window that were hidden by my curtain, so now when my curtains aren't there, they therefore charge me for those. I don't even know what those were used for. The windows are also high. If anyone knows what the top floor ceilings at The William look like, they will understand that there is no way I would be able to reach that high to put those stickers on it, or even take them off. I'm 5'4. They didn't even bother me because they were hidden by my curtain. When I explain this to Kgomotso she said Robert the inspector would have noticed, but if he noticed he would have taken a picture. Robert also left the apartment while I was pointing out all the errors in the apartment. He stated that it was too much for him as he had spent an hour at my place. (Can you imagine that) Too many faults with the place and told me to send the rest, but none of the pictures I sent were used in the entry report (no surprise there).</p> <p>I had cleaned the fridge but forgot 4 tiny items in there. I am mad at myself because I didn't want them thrown away. They charged me to remove these. The rest of the fridge was clean; no dirty shelves , no scratch on the fridge. I had cleaned the shelves, I just placed the items there so they wouldn't break or go off while cleaning the rest of the house and when I left at 22:00 that night I was exhausted and forgot all about it.</p> <p>They claim the bottom bedroom cupboards were dirty but the pictures say otherwise. The inspection comment says marks, marks you can't see. </p> <p>They also claim lights for the place but all lights were working, none were faulty. They even took pictures of it.</p> <p> </p> <p>Kgomotso fails to send me proper entry and exit inspection pictures showing me how things looked like before and how they looked like now. She's only showing me the now.</p> <p> </p> <p>I've been pleading with them, but they're so adamant to keep my money. I will never use this company.</p> <p>The final comment on the exit report is that the apartment is in very good condition. Why charge me on 3 things that aren't true? (Window,cupboards and lights). Does it really cost that much to take the 4 small sauce bottles and chuck them away? It's not like they drove to give them to me.</p> <p>To top it off they keep sending me a bill to pay. Why??? I left in January. I don't owe anything and they took my R700. But I'm still getting statements. What BS!</p>
