Disappointing Experience After Initial Positives

I was initially pleased with the onboarding and lease process through Just Property Middelburg. Communication during the early stages was professional and efficient.

However, the experience changed significantly when it came to the lease cancellation and deposit refund. Although I followed all required procedures, including giving proper notice and paying the agreed cancellation fee, I was charged further penalties that I believe were not aligned with fair and reasonable consumer practices.

In addition, promises were made regarding maintenance prior to signing the lease. These repairs were never addressed at all during my tenancy, which affected my family’s comfort and safety and also resulted in early termination of lease.

I felt that some terms in the lease agreement were app**** in a way that did not reflect the principles of fairness, transparency, or lawful conduct. Once signed, these clauses were enforced strictly, even where they may conflict with consumer protection standards.

I would caution prospective tenants to carefully read and question all terms of the lease agreement and to keep records of any maintenance promises made before signing.
