DEPOSIT MONEY disappears into black hole ???

<p>I paid a deposit of R9k on a property when I moved in. Upon exit, inspection was passed by landlord with no problems and deposit payout was approved. In less than 2 weeks, I get a statement showing only costs (no deposit values) that total to R8k. I flag all my concerns in FOUR seperate mails, but Just Property Margate ingores all emails and proceeds with the payout they believe is correct. The electricity was overbilled and the credit passed by Eskom was not passed onto me? My last 2 water bills are EXACTLY the same to the cent AND they have charged me for 16 invoices instead of 15 for water and sanitation (extra bill is just an estimate) AFTER the final reading was taken I have been informed now by numerous people that I should not rent through this agent because there are so many people who have not been paid their deposit back. Has this happened to anyone else and what was your approach to rectifying the problem. The manager of Just Property informed me that I am welcome to take it up with the Estate Agency Affairs Board so I have logged an online complaint and will wait for feedback. In the meantime, I hope this can be rectified amicably and that people with the same problem, feel they can stand up for their rights...</p>
