Compensation for theft

<p><span style="color: #555555; background-color: #ffffff;">I booked into a holiday apartment in Manning Road, Uvongo via Just Property on the 25/11/2016. On Sunday the 27/11/2016 between 4am and 6am we were burgled. 2 of my laptops were ****** and my wallet. ***** gained entry via a window that did not have a handle so it could not be locked. We were unaware that the window did not have a handle as there was a blind covering it. Only realised this upon the burglary. I have contacted the Just Property office to notify them of the burglary and asked if any compensation can be done as these laptops were expensive. The MD of the company then told me that they will not compensate me for the ****** items and neither will the owner of the property, as they don't have insurance. The burglary was a result of the window not having a handle and being opened which was not our fault. Despite that, the company nor the owner is willing to help in any way. I find this extremely disappointing. If the property is unsafe, don't rent it out!!!</span></p>
