Claiming deposit money without inspections

I moved out of my current flat partially because of the terrible service I received from Just Letting who turned into Just Property. When I moved out my flat, I advised the agency on my last day of occupation who said they were on holiday and could not do an outgoing inspection (as stated in my contract) but advised I leave the keys with the complex security. On request for my deposit 12 days after contract expiration, I was charged around R4000 in what they perceived as repairs but they were unable to specify what the damages were and had no proof of damages as I knew that they had not done an ingoing inspection for the new tenants. The new tenants also informed me that they ended up getting their own **** in to try clean the carpets in the interim as the agent had not done so as promised to new tenants. These new tenants charged the agent the R250 fee which the agency only were willing to pay R200 but then charged me R350 for this service as well as the carpet cleaner.<br> This is not only breaching my legal rights as a tenant but is just an embarrassing to the company as a whole.
