Professional Misconduct: Just beat it

I am writing to document the severe professional misconduct and financial ***** I experienced at the hands of Dean, the owner of "Just Beat It" auto shop, in 2022.

Following a vehicle theft, I entrusted my car to Dean based on a referral. After an upfront payment of R35,000 was made for specific parts as he demanded, the situation rapidly deteriorated:

Failure to Perform Services: Despite receiving payment, no meaningful repairs were ever initiated over several months.

Deliberate Misrepresentation: I was shown photographs of parts falsely claimed to be for my vehicle, which were never installed.

Theft of Property: Upon recovering my abandoned car from an open storage field, I discovered that original parts had been removed from the vehicle. Dean later admitted to this theft in a signed affidavit.

Abandonment and Closure: The shop was shut down without any prior notice, leaving my vehicle exposed to the elements and in a worse state than when it was entrusted to him.

Bad Faith and Broken Promises: In the aforementioned affidavit, Dean committed to a repayment plan starting in October 2023. To date, he has not made a single payment, demonstrating a consistent pattern of empty promises and *****ulent intent.

To date, I remain R35,000 out of pocket, in addition to the value of the ****** parts. Dean has proven to be entirely unresponsive and *************.

This experience represents a complete abandonment of professional and ethical obligations. I strongly urge any potential customer to consider this serious misconduct and avoid any business engagement with Dean or "Just Beat It" to prevent similar financial loss and distress.

We are in 2025 and still nothing in regards to my money and parts, even after the signed affidavit.
