Deceit and dishonesty

In March 2021 a deposit was paid to Johan Haasbroek (Gqeberha) to build a website with the completion date being July 2021. After many communications and pleas as to the progress of the site, in September 2021 I requested him to refund the deposit. Johan Haasbroek responded with an apology and not only offered to refund me the full deposit, but that he would complete the site at no additional cost and to refund me all the bank and payment gateways fees that had been incurred over the many months. Again, nothing transpired, so in December 2021 he was again furnished with a request to refund (this time hand delivered) and assured me he would refund me in "a couple of days". The deceit and dishonesty that I've had to endure from Johan Haasbroek is absolutely despicable. To have started a business during a pandemic was a struggle enough but to have someone who has a full-time job of his own, to take money from someone who has been nothing but patient defies explanation. I'm writing this review in the hope that nobody else will fall victim to him.
