New Home Buyers Take Note!
I would like to raise a complaint regarding the service provided by JJ Jacobs Attorneys in relation to the transfer of a property that I sold. Although I am not their direct client, they are responsible for facilitating the transfer of my property, and their performance has had a direct impact on me as the seller. From September up to the present, there have been significant delays in the transfer process with very poor communication. It has been extremely difficult to obtain updates or clear information about the progress of the transfer. Queries are often not responded to timeously, leaving me uncertain and frustrated about the status of the transaction. In addition, there have been concerns regarding additional charges that were not clearly explained, as well as an overall lack of accountability when delays occur. A property transfer is a major financial transaction, and it is reasonable to expect clear communication, transparency, and efficiency throughout the process. This experience has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and I believe the level of service provided falls short of what is expected from attorneys managing property transfers. I am sharing this complaint in the hope that communication, transparency, and accountability improve for others involved in similar processes.

Prolonged Delays, Errors, and Lack of Follow-Up
If I could give 0 stars, I would. JJ Jacobs Attorneys was appointed as our transfer attorneys, and our home purchase experience has been extremely frustrating from start to (not even yet) finish. 1. Ongoing municipal account issues: Our City of Tshwane accounts repeatedly went into arrears during the transfer process. Even now, we are still waiting for our deeds search document, which is preventing us from registering the accounts properly — resulting in repeated arrear issues whenever we try to load prepaid electricity. 2. Registration took 4 months due to errors in the initial documents, which had to be redone and re-signed. 3. There was a clear lack of urgency and proactive follow-up throughout the process — we constantly had to chase for updates. 4. Even after registration was completed, we are still waiting — 3 weeks later — for the refund of our transfer duty. Overall, the process has been poorly managed, stressful, and unnecessarily prolonged. I would not recommend their services.
