Bad service

I bought my husband a ring from this jewelry now in January but to my disappointment the ring didn't fit as we'd hope that it would, so I sent them an email asking what is their returns policy as on their website they said that it's easy to return the goods. To my surprise, they are telling me to buy another ring for $45, so my question is what do I do with the first ring? And who is going to pay for the shipment again as they **** with the first shipment as I had to pay double. I don't want to buy another ring I want to exchange.
