False Adverti*****t and ********* Behavior
If it were possible to give a zero-star rating, I would.
I recently bought a vehicle from Jetour AutoCity Alberton. It was advertised as a one-owner, full-service history vehicle. When I viewed the car, I noticed there were gaps in the service history. I queried this, they said that the previous owner lost the service book but they will send me proof of all the missing services since they need to have that when trading a vehicle and advertising it as full service history. I decided to trust them and bought the vehicle anyway, thinking that they were trustworthy. Also note that this vehicle was not priced fairly, however once again I though I could trust these people and they will stick to their word. The vehicle wasn't in the best of conditions, however better than most vehicles of its age. After 4 days of not hearing from them, I called and sent messages to the sales person to no avail. I then returned to the dealership and asked for the history, but they told me the DP is on vacation and he has all the documents, he will only be back the following week. Again, feeling that I can trust these people, I accepted their response and waited. The deadline arrived and again no call backs, no responses to my messages etc. I returned again to find out that all the managers are unavailable due to a new vehicle launch. I returned again the following week only to be asked by the manager to give her a week to find the missing services. All I requested is that the atleast tell me where the vehicle was serviced, then I can check with them for a service history but even that was too much to ask for. When the deadline arrived, I returned to the dealership once again and told them I want to return the vehicle (I had to finance the vehicle). The manager then told me to send an email to the DP (dealership principal), which I did, explaining in full that I was dissatisfied with the vehicle, as I paid a lot for a vehicle with no service history. He didn't reply, obviously. Eventually, he sent me a photo taken from a computer screen of one service, which was done, however, I counted 4 missing services. I rep**** and said that this confirms they falsely advertised the vehicle and that there is indeed no service history. Once again, I was ignored. I then drove to the branch where the vehicle was serviced, and they confirmed there is no full service history. Afterwards I returned to the dealership and told them I tried everything to find a service history myself, and I can't find any proof, therefore I'm returning my vehicle. I was directed to the FNI and she requested a return from the head office. After a few days I still didn't receive feedback and I returned to the dealership (6th time now). They told me they will not be taking the vehicle back as there is nothing wrong with it and they don't carry the responsibility for the false adverti*****t. I went to see the DP and he basically belittled me, said that I probably don't have enough money to cover the installments and that's why I want to return the vehicle. He said that the previous owner said there is a full service history, and I told him again that I tried finding everything and there is no proof. HE then said that's my problem and I need to deal with it.
Never have I ever worked with such ********* dealers in my life. Even if my review won't prevent people from doing business with them, I hope it raises awareness of their business strategy and encourages eveyone to be more vigilant with them.
