Very poor

I had a debt with Jet years ago which is now prescribed "Amendments to the National Credit Act (NCA) in 2015 made it clear that it is ******** for any credit provider or debt collector to try to collect payment on a prescribed debt, Once a debt is prescribed, it must be written off by the credit provider and removed from your credit report". I have escalated the matter to Jet, I didn't get any response and I have been calling and I am told to wait, how long I have to wait for them to remove this... I am frustrated as this is affecting my credit report....
