The company I work for was liquidated

Good Day,<br> <br> My name is Thembeka Nkosana. In September 2015 the company I worked for was liquidated and I am no longer employed. I went to the nearest Jet Store to close the account since I could not afford to pay for it.<br> My account has an account protection plan. I submitted all the required documentation that was requested by the consultants at the store in order to process my application.<br> <br> Today I received a call from Gloria who informed me that I need to pay my account. She asked me if I received my UIF fund as yet as I would need to pay the account.<br> I then informed her that in September I went to close the account and to apply for the account protection plan cover and I have not had any form of feedback from the store.<br> <br> She then informed me that liquidation is not covered under retrenchment??? Why was I not informed of this when I went to close my account Gloria mentioned that the person I was dealing with did not know what they were talking about.<br> <br> <br> What is the purpose of paying for the account protection plan??????<br> <br> Liquidation is not covered??? Where will I receive money if the company is closed and I am no longer earning an income????<br> <br>
