Refusing to close account

I have an account since decades ago. I have found that my account is susceptible to ***** time and again and finally decided to close the account. I went into a JET store to close the account as I could not handle being de*****ed all the time. They then told me that they cannot close until some account at MR something is closed. The account is paid in full. Could you please close this account JET so that we part amicably.
