Poor 'Click and Collect' Service

On the 22nd of April I decided to make use of the 'click and collect' option on Jet's website. I purchased a pair of shoes and chose Boardmans The Grove as the shop I would collect my shoes from. I was notified it would take 3-5 working days till I could collect my shoes. I made this purchase on a Sunday, and I expected to get a message that my order was ready for collection by Monday the following week because of the holiday that was there on Friday. On Monday 30th April I phoned to ask on the status of my order as this was now day 5 and I was informed that the system showed my shoes had been delivered at Boardmans and I should go collect. After work I went to Boardmans, gave the lady who helped me my name she went and looked for the parcel and came back with the shoes. She then checked the system and my parcel had not been entered into their system and she asked if I had received a message informing me about the collection I told her no but I had called and was told I could go and collect the shoes. She said she couldn't give me the shoes because I hadn't received that msg. I left the shop with a heavy heart because I had gone out my way to the mall specifically to collect those shoes. Its day 7 now, I have not received a msg informing me if I should come collect my parcel now.

The whole purpose of putting a timeline on delivery of a service is so one can plan with the help of that timeline but if they can't deliver within the time then they should stop lying to customers that they will deliver in 3-5 days. It is such an inconvenience and not to mention that their tracking system doesn't work and that they denied me to collect my shoes all because someone was slow at doing their job!
