No customer service

Does anybody agree with me that South African companies has got the worst customer service ever. We closed a Jet account 5 years ago in the store, they even took the card and cut it and through it in the bin in store and still the statement is been send to us and the account is still active. Why cant these fools just not close the account as instructed? I have send a mail to close it aswell but no response. This is so frustrating.
