Jets/MBD Money vultures
In 2020 I paid up my account with Jets. In 2022 I decided to get a new Jet card because when I paid up the account, I cut up the old card. Later in 2022 I did decide to use the account again to make a purchase. A few months later after the account was again paid up, I started receiving phone calls IUA and then from MBD wanting me to make payments of over R3000.00 and when I enquire for what are the payments was told that I need to pay for a Provider plan, Personal Accident plan and Dental plan which I never signed up for or even knew I had. When I tried explaining that I never gave consent or requested these services was just never acknowledged by Jet/RCS. Till today after sending numerous emails and tried numerous times explaining my situation just keeps falling on deaf ears with no replies. All MBD is worried about is for me to make payment. I don't see why I should pay for something I never asked or gave consent to. Please people scrutinize your statement when you get them because these people are charging your account for things you never asked for. All they out to do is make money from you. Be very careful.
I have also taken this matter to the Consumer council letting them know of my situation.
