Jet Stores – Internal ***** on My Account
I am extremely disappointed with Jet Stores and the way they handle customer *****. Between 4 November 2025 and 1 January 2026, someone at Jet Stores opened a TFG Connect SIM card on my account without my permission and purchased airtime totaling R1,390.
Here’s what happened:
The SIM card in question was originally provided with a phone I purchased for my son earlier this year.
According to Jet Stores’ own consultant, this SIM card was deactivated in July 2025 due to inactivity. I never activated or used it after that.
Therefore, it is clear that these *****ulent purchases could only have been made by someone internal at Jet Stores.
I only discovered this when my wife noticed that my account balance was incorrect. Upon requesting a statement, I saw numerous airtime purchases ranging from R10 to R399. I immediately reported it:
The SIM card was blocked.
I completed an affidavit at the store the same day.
Since then, I have been sent from pillar to post with conflicting timelines for resolution: first 48–72 hours, then 2 weeks, and now 8 weeks. This is completely unacceptable.
I am calling on Jet Stores to take urgent action:
Investigate this internal ***** and identify the employee responsible.
Reverse all unauthorized charges.
Provide a clear and reasonable timeline for resolution.
I am a loyal customer, but this experience has been shocking and disappointing. Jet Stores must be held accountable for ***** committed by their own employees.
