Jet stores

I had an account with jet stores, I defaulted payments and my account was handed over to mbd we made an arrangement they started deducting money for 4 months and then I decided to pay my account off, I went to jet store at ulundi and i paid it off. years later, when I do my credit check it still appears as I am still owing them money, I went to the branch to enquire about this they said edcon company sold thier business to TGF group so they can't help me with the paid up letter because if they punch in my ID number there is nothing on my name. Please help me I need to buy a house I can't because of this
