Jet Network Sim Lock
I bought a phone from Jet Eastgate and specifically requested a Telkom phone but was told there are none in stock. I then decided I would purchase a phone elsewhere as I wasn't willing to purchase a network locked phone. The sales consultant adviced a MTN phone as they are not sim locked she said. I asked if she was sure and she confirmed with another consultant who confirmed MTN will allow any network sim. Since inserting my Telkom card the phone has displayed a sim not provisioned error message and I cannot make, send or receive calls and smses. I'm annoyed as I specifically wanted to avoid the network lock and could've purchased the phone elsewhere.
