Jet Gezina employees tries to ***** my handbag and possessions

I tried on something in the Gezina branch of Jet Clothing store on Saturday morning 4 June 2020. I was so stupid to leave my handbag in the fitting room by accident. Five minutes later I realised my mistake and rushed back to the store. It is a small store and I enquired about the lost handbag at the pay counter, within earshot of all the employees in the store. The lady at the pay point said they had not seen a handbag in the fitting room nor had anyone handed in one. The other employees concurred. Then a client in the queue spoke up and said that she saw and witnessed that the employees had just retrieved a lost handbag from the fitting room and that the employees had discussed it just previously. The one employee then said that the handbag was at their back office. I went with her to the back and she retrieved my handbag from their back-room. My handbag as riffled through and my cellphone was switched off. It is clear to me that the employees of Jet Gezina intended to ***** their customer's possessions - why else did they initially deny seeing the bag, and why else was my cellphone switched off. It is shocking to me that all the employees of the store was willing to go along with this intended theft, and was it not for the customer witnessing this and speaking up, they would have gotten away with this. I was stupid to forget my handbag and very lucky to get it back, but my trust in the employees of Jet was broken and I can not see myself supporting this store again.
