JET ACCOUNT CLOSURE DIFFICULTIES

I have been trying to close my Jet account for the past 18 Months by paying it off, but everytime I try to close it the store sales person/ consultants tell me I must first tell their magazine department to remove the magazine subscription which I had never app**** for and have never received a magazine from JET.Now my account is in arrears and has affected my Home loan application, the bank wants to withdraw the Loan. I dont understand why its so difficult to close the account but its so easy to open.
