Jet abused my feelings

I went to a Jet store in Springsmall on the 3rd of December 2019 to do my shopping as i waz browsing for shoes in the shoe isle an iron hit my eye .i asked a guy who works there to give me a tissue to cover it because i couldnt open it he jst gave me a tissue and left and then i quickly went back to work so i can use a phone to call the manager for that store and report the eccident and then an optometrist told me to consult an eye specialist as quickly as i can.Jet's manager Mariam said i must go and see the specialist and pay for myself and they will take it from there i did just that and i gave them my paperwork from doctors and Mariam said she will scan it and will give me a feedback but no one has contacted me since then and its a month now and when i call head office they tell me to contact the store because there is no one who can help me. Was i supposed to loose my eye for them to have mercy i was in pain and my eye had a cut inside it had to get stitched because of their negligence and unsafe environment or do i need to get this issue settled the legal way because il do that if i have to......i feel my right to safety as a customer are being abused.
