ITEM with no SKU number - Forest Hill JET

On Saturday the 12th of December, I went to Jet at Forest Hill mall. I saw a make up bag on display and wanted to purchase it, after receiving attitude from the teller who explicitly told me that I cannot buy it and many people have asked for it before the item does not have an SKU number(whatever that means), also taking it upon herself to inform me that, 'It won't help to speak to the manager, she can't help". I took it upon myself to find and follow up with the branch manager. it is now end of Monday the 14th of December and there is no resolution, nor is there any light at the end of this issue. is this the "service" that's to be expected from JET? it's no wonder their not meeting targets, how do you display items that cannot be bought?
