Elloff street Jet

Woke up today decided to go and do an exchange for something else..whereas I was bought a mat or rug as birthday present but I did not like it...got to jet store at ellof street I went to the till point explained nicely to the cashier SANELISIWE that as per exchange policy I know that I will not get refund as it was bought by card and It was not mine though I have the receipt and from there I could see she was somewhat skeptical by me telling her my situation but instead I went look for uniform for my two kids when I got back the lady then proceeded to scan my slip took out a gift card and transfered the amount of the mat there without saying anything then gave me a slip to sign but I did not sign confused as I was I asked why would u do a gift card as this was bought by debit card and I only want exchange and if in future I decide otherwise maybe might refund but since she decided alone to do a gift card and forced to say that's how they work..you transfer the exchange money to a gift card and buy afterwards and they was another colleague along with her she disagreed with what she did then I requested for the manager she then left her post and fetched them took long I guess she was narrating her doings but they came explained the return policy but there was nothing said about DOING A GIFT CARD FORCEFULLY I am disappointed I never got help no exchange just my original slip and the slip where they redeemed the gift card to resell the mat please advice Jet.
