Edcon Group's Return Policy
On Monday I purchased a dress from Jet at Greenstone Mall. Right above the cash desk a huge banner states that they will gladly refund or exchange purchases within 30 days given the item is in its original condition and the receipt is present. Today (Wednesday) I went to the Mall @ Carnival branch, looking to exchange the dress for a smaller size. I decided to return it instead. I had my receipt, the dress in its original condition with the price tag still attached. The cashier informed that they can only give me a gift card as this is the new refund policy since September 2015. I was very disgusted. This is stated nowhere in store, only in the fine print on the back of the receipt. Seriously? I will never purchase clothing items from Jet or Edgars if this is the way they choose to handle refunds. Now I'm stuck with an unwanted gift card from a group I rarely purchase from. This is pathetic.
