Debit card drama at POS
<p>Jet can you kindly train ALL your cashier's on how to use the card machines at your POS correctly and also implement random refresher training sessions lest they forget. Yesterday afternoon a few of your cashiers at a particular section in your West Street branch in Durban were not aware of how the machine fully operates which caused unnecessary drama, irritation at my end, a waste of time, embarrassment at your end as a retailer and a sizable dent in your potential turnover in sales. For some reason or the other your cashier's were not selecting the correct option on the machine to move the cursor to select Debit Save instead of Debit Cheque and the transaction kept failing inspite of me telling them that I purchased jeans from them 2 days ago with the same card using the Debit Save option and it worked, what's wrong now? I was told it must have been my "LUCKY DAY"...(REALLY???) that it worked because the machine's curser never moves from the Debit Cheque option even if they press the buttons which move the cursor (which was the wrong buttons by the way) which means all the customers using Debit Save cards can't buy because the transaction keeps declining (do you get the picture now of how many possible sales that have been lost???) I hardly shop at your stores and would have actually left if it wasn't for the 2 pairs of nice sandles I wanted and wasn't willing to let go of to get cash at an ATM unnecessarily. I eventually was able to make my purchase via the card after waiting for what seemed like forever for someone who could operate the machine correctly by selecting the correct option...2 words about my shopping experience with you'll yesterday Jet..."Not Cool!"</p>
