Cellphone Insurance Claim Disappointment!!

I am highly disappointed at the fact that my mom insured 2 of her phones (Samsung J5 and Huawei P20 Lite).

She had an insurance claim recently due to loss of both the phones and to our surprise, we were told that The Huawei P20 lite is discontinued. We then asked for the available options and we were told that they only have Samsungs available (Which the value of the Samsung phones are less than the value of the Huawei P20).

We then asked if there is no way we could get an IPhone equivalent to the Huawei and the staff members at Jet advised that it is only available at Foschini.

So to our understanding, Jet is now under TFG. We asked if they cannot then get one from Foschini and we were told that we need to choose from what's available at Jet.

If what we insured is discontinued then surely we need to then be replaced with something better or we should be paid out. Why were those options not offered to us?? Why are we being forced to choose from devices that are not even the same value as what we have insured???
