cellphone insurance

i went to jet store Dobsonville in late 2014 to buy a phone , when i got there , there was a special deal of getting 2 phones at R1999 a Huawei Tablet mediapad and a Y something phone . I bought the phones and was offered insurance which i agreed to . The person who hepled me advised that its an insurance for the phones. Recently when my tablet got lost and i submitted my claim and got an sms confirming that my claim has been received and there is a number i need to dial fo ra follow up, After 2 weeks i did a follow up and was advised that my claim has been approved for only R550 which is for the small phone because the Tablet was not covered on that insurance.But when i took the phones no one advised me of that and why only when i claim i get that . really it is a bad service and can R550 buy any tablet.
