Can not close account with Jet

I went to Jet to close my account and request a confirmation letter. They called their call centre and the lady that helped said the account is already closed since it was handed over to vvm. I then request a letter to confirm that all the money owed is paid and the account is closed via email, she tells me that she has sent the email and it might take 48 hours to come through. I send emails everyday at work and I don't know of an email that takes 48 hours to get to the recipient once sent. I am sure the next time I call they will say I owe more money because of monthly charges when I want to get rid of this cancer but their service wants to drain more money out of me, by giving me a run around just for close an account I no longer want.
