billed for clubfees and never signed up
I would advise clients of Jet (EDCON) to monitor their accounts on a monthly basis. I was warned by family members that Jet will sumtime bill you for club fees even if you did not sign up. I did not really bother me until I saw my latest statement, I was billed for club fees!! I went through my statements and saw that I was billed for clubfees for the past 3 months already!

I have never signed up for any club and did not join it, and did not want it from day one, now suddenly I get bill for it without my consent. I have not even received club magazines (not that I want it, it is a total waste of money). They have small print that states if you have not responded in 30 days they will accept that your account is correct.

So this automatically means that a customer who never signed up now belongs to a club even without their agreement into this? I don't believe that this action is lawful. I am also curious to know how many THOUSANDS of rands or even Millions does EDCON make by billing clients for services (i.e clubs) they never wanted or agreed to?
