Bad service

On the 23rd October I bought Nokia 1plus at jetmart randburg store, only to find it's faulty returned it at jetmart zeerust in the northwest. The phone is still under yet I'm told to pay for repairs why must l pay for factory fault? I want this resolved I will not pay for Nokia factory fault.
