Advertised nil stock - zero. Fooling customers

I went to Jet stores in Mt Frere recently, to buy cellphones for my kids and my nieces, and I grabbed myself a cellphone catalogue. I noticed a promotion that was running and ending on 25 March. I was interested in the cellphones as per the brochure but the cellphone assistant there told me they were waiting for stock and that I should come again to check stock availability. There was also a big banner showing these Cell C cellphones that were on promotion. I went there day in day out but the stock never arrived. The lady phoned sister stores and couldn't get any. I went there again on the 24th as the promotion was ending in a days time, still there was nothing. The cellphones I was interested in buying were 3 citrus socials and 2 citrus jazzes. I requested to see the manager, she was just as helpless as the assistant as there were no sister stores with stock on hand. Now I want Edcon to advise as to what do I do now. Why would they advertise boldly something they know they can't deliver? Why don't you guys shut down the cellphone departments in your stores? My nieces are coming on Thursday, the Moundy Thursday for Easter holidays, what am I gonna tell them? Now, please do rectify this. I need these cellphones and at the advertised prices. I spent a lot going up and down. This kind of service is unacceptable I hope you repeat it not.

Disgruntled shopper
