account still not closed after a long time

I had requested a settlement amount and requested the account to be closed after I made a payment But I am receiving emails that the account is still not closed and I now have available amounts I had requested for payment letter more than six month back and received it but the account is still opened I had tried calling their call center but my call is always put on hold
