POOR SERVICE FROM JENNY INTERNET AFTER 8 YEARS

I am a loyal client of Jenny Internet for 8 years now and have never missed a month service use from them just the fact that during this time I was down maybe 3 or 4 times and not offline for longer than 30 minutes at most. A few weeks back I wanted to apply to upgrade my current package from 30Mbps line speed to the 100Mbps package. However I was informed that I had to upgrade my hardware as well in order to benefit from the upgrade package. So my initial response to the team of Jenny Internet was to leave everything as it currrently is and not to change anything on my current package. So all good untill 2 weeks back and this last week where I was all of a sudden experiencing very poor signal regarding to my download and upload speeds. So that I barely could download any games on PC or console or even play a decent game like before without the constant lagging and poor gameplay. After a whole week to get them to resolve the issue I get called finally on Friday just to be informed that my current package was downgraded to a 15Mbps line of which I had no knowledge or gave any approval for. A a very satisfied customer I have always bavked my service provider for the great service but now it seems all good things do have an end. I must give credit where due but honestly sometime service providers start lacking in quality as they push for quantity in order to benefit more out of the financial gains. I will be cancelling my services with Jenny Internet as soon as I can get connected by another provider in my area. This is a sad reality in today's business world where consumers have to pay the price for companies whom no longer care but to make money.

It has been almost a week now and still no response from service provider. I have taken a package with another provider to test and if that goes well I will have to cancel after 8 years with a very good provider. After my report on HelloPeter.com I was informed I must upgrade my equipment at a cost of R5400. I honestly do not see as to why since my last package deal of up to 64Mbps worked perfectly well for the last 2 or 3 years. All I did was enquire to upgrade to a higher speed option and then was simply just downgraded for no reason. Even after I told them NOT to change anything and leave the current package as is. From next week we will test new provider and see. But to keep on like this is unacceptable.

Hi Jaco,

Thank you for reaching out and for your honest feedback. I want to sincerely apologize for the delay in response and for the frustration caused by the recent downgrade and the equipment upgrade recommendation.

After 8 years of loyal support, you deserve nothing less than efficient, respectful service—and we clearly fell short this time. I completely understand your concern about the R5400 equipment upgrade, especially considering your 64Mbps package had been working well for years. It’s also unacceptable that changes were made to your package despite your clear instruction to leave things as they were.

I’d like to personally look into this for you to understand what went wrong and to see if there’s any way we can resolve the issue without the unnecessary expense. If you're willing to give us the opportunity, I’d love to turn this experience around before you make a final decision about switching providers.

Please feel free to respond with a preferred time for a call, or let me know if you'd rather continue via email—I’m here to help.

Warm regards
Amanda

Hi Amanda.

My number to call is ***. I had no other option but to downgrade my service at Jenny Internet to the lowest possible to at least allow my wife and disabled son to stream. Because of this fault from Jenny Internet I had no other option but to get another supllier to supply me with the services that Jenny lacked of providing.

If Jenny would be able to reconnect my previous services or come with a better solution I will opt for that again. To date no one has bothered looking in to this matter or contact me in any way to get this resolved. There is just no urgency.

Honestly I would never again recommend the use of Jenny to anyone ever again. I was really proud always to brag to other people and even online friends about my good service and now this is the thanks. Its truly dissapointing.

Have not been contacted by anyone from Jenny Internet regarding the unauthorized downgrade of my services. Just responded to an email from the National Consumer Counsel so I will be directed to the offices here in my home town to take the matter further.

Its now been MONTHS since I complained regarding the poor service and utter disregard for customer experience from Jenny Internet. To date no one has contacted me or even tried. No calls, no messages and certainly no email communication from Amanda as well. By end September I will be disconnecting my Jenny Internet services completely and switch to other providers willing to provide a betrer customer experience. Not just that I have advocated and stood up for Jenny Internet every time I saw a post or message from someone asking how Jenny Internet rates against other serbice providers. I was proud to comment that for the last 8 years of being a client I was not disvonnected for longer than 30 minutes at a time due to repairs or maintenance schedules and in this whole 8 years we were only off for less than 3 times if I am correct. So yes the experience with Jeeny Internet was the best. Until recently where my services was downgraded by someone from Jenny Internet without consent from the client----ME!!!

Today I want the public to hear me out when I say be carefull trusting Jenny Internet.

So I have just seen an adverti*****t on Facebook of Jenny offering 30mbps for R499. I have contacted them to apply and have my current services upgraded to 30mpbs. The same service I had for years is again advertised. Now lets see what lame excuses they will come up with now again for not being able to provide me the services I had for the last 3 or 4 years. Also just to state that no one at Jenny Internet till today can tell me as to why my previous line of 30mbps was downgraded for no reason and without consent.

Could someone from Jenny Internet please provide a contactable telephone number and email address so that I can provide the National Consumer Board agents with the contact info for a follow up on my problem. The details I provided is not contactable. They need to resolve the problem I have ASAP.
