Unprofessional, ********* and dishonest agent
<p>We recently purchased a property through Jawitz through an agent called Hettie Gous a property consultant with Jawitz. My husband and I loved the property and made the offer. After alot of deliberation with the lawyers we signed the sale of shares. Once this was done we picked up alot of anomalies post the sale which eventually lead me to get my own lawyers on board. They are very good to promise the world to you prior the sale and have the conditions also committed with the lawyers. Once the deal is sealed delivery of the conditions is practically zero and their lawyers also do not deliver. They state they representing the seller in actual fact they representing both the agent and seller. You as the buyer are left to fend for yourself and your rights are completely stripped as everyone seems to suffer from amnesia once the deal is sealed. I was forced to get my own lawyer involved and as you know once you sign its too late to engage a lawyer. I have done many deals in South Africa with agents but have never experienced this level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism before. You get zero assistance when there are variations to the contract. When you contact the lawyers the lawyers go back to the agent and make reference to what the agent says. You provide evidence and you simply get pushed over by their lawyers. We did get our own lawyer eventually but it was too late as it would cost us more to remedy so we just settled. Be very careful when you deal with this company especially this Agent The worst part is that I complained to her supervisor Philip Kruis who has not even bothered to remedy as they have received their commission so why should he even think about the customer. An ********* bunch of individuals. My advise to anyone that deals with this company should be very careful. Go in with your own lawyers do not for once think that their lawyers will have your interest at heart. They also work just for their fee and not for what is fair!!! Infact to avoid any dispair dont deal with this company at all. Looking at the other reviews it seems that this is just the way they do business. Had I gone on hello peter prior to the deal I would have been very careful unfortunately I didnt so i got bitten.</p>

Jawitz Properties Head Office has undertaken a thorough investigation of this transaction.
We have copies of correspondence from both our Pretoria North office and the transferring attorney on numerous e-mails dated between 27th January and 21st April this year.
The Seller did not accept your initial offer terms, and between end January and end of March there was extensive communication between the sellers attorney and yourself to outline terms of a new agreement which the seller would accept. The sellers instructions were very clear. The final offer was signed by both parties with the seller remaining consistent with the terms they were willing to sell at, in January.
Hettie had agreed to 3 items to assist with the sale and we note these were all completed per her word.
All terms were clearly and transparently outlined to you as supported by the numerous emails. During the period between January and March there was ample time to provide feedback or concerns regarding any dishonesty. The Agreement is a binding document and thus one cannot change terms of an agreement after the fact.
Hettie feels very strongly that all conduct of the agent was both transparent and honest.
