paid depisit for a flat that wasn't available

After a long search for accommodation I met Sandy. We met and I viewed the place and app****. All was in order. She even called the following morning to ask if she should show other people the place and I said no. I had already transferred the total deposit required. Little did I know my horror had just began. A week later she mailed me asking if I could move in June. And I was horrified because I had signed a lease already for the first of may and had given notice already where we are currently. I asked what the problem was and she said that the current tenant had changed his mind. But she was still trying to find a way to resolve this. Days later she told me it was final, the current tenant wasn't leaving till July. Note that when I met sandy I had found a place already and she assured me and I let the other place go. Now I was left without even a place for May nor an alternative place. My blood pressure just got so high as I was terrified. I have never been in such a situation before. I immediately went looking for other places as I could see jawitz was not doing anything to assist me. The manager whom I was told to call never bothered to call me to date.
