Jawitz Properties - tenant feedback

Ive been renting from Jawitz Properties since February 2019, same complex. When I moved in I asked them to paint the walls as it was dirty, eventually said Ill do it on my own account. The rest if the issues and complaints (the list is long) were only resolved if 1.) I fixed it myself 2.) threaten to report it to the principal or 3.) connect with the chairman of the body corporate of the complex to assist (which is not even his job). Bottom line is that the rental service is next to nothing. In June 2020 the owner of the property stopped by to look at the place (no prior notification) so I invited her in, the place was being looked after, so no issue right?... After the owner walked through, she couldn't stop talking about the good state the place is in and that I maintained/replaced and fixed whatever was an issue. Happy owner, happy tenant. The 1st week in July I received a letter if eviction because the owner wanted to move back in her property! So I had to scramble around to find a new place, luckily I found one. I notified the agency that I'll move out a month earlier than the eviction date and that they can use the deposit (which is more than the rent) for the last month's payment. This morning (yes on a Sunday) I received a letter of demand, becauae they would need the deposit for any "damages" to the property. When I started reading reviews on Jawitz I realized why....seems they are not keen on paying back deposits. The only service this agency does is collect rent, that's where its stops. They threaten to damage my credit score, and maybe other tenants took it lightly, but I don't. Stay away deom this agency if you can
