DISTRUST
I LOST A RENTAL PROPERTY DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE!!! DEAN, THE JAWITZ RENTAL REPRESENTATIVE NEGLECTED /FORGOT TO GIVE ME A FORM TO SIGN, THUS, RESULTING IN A DELAY AND THE OWNER WITHOUT WARNING SIGNED PLACED NEW TENANTS!! (I HAVE PROOF THIS ON VOICE RECORDING) IS THIS THE NORM?? JAWITZ HAS OFFERED TO HELP ME FIND ANOTHER PLACE, HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT JUSTIFY WHAT THEY DID!! THIS PROPERTY WAS NEAR MY PLACE OF WORK AND IDEALLY WHAT I WANTED. HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO FIND ANOTHER SUITABLE PROPERTY AND IN THE MEAN WHILE I HAVE GIVEN NOTICE AND MUST BE OUT WHERE I CURRENTLY RENT, AT THE END OF FEBRUARY, 2018. WAS THIS ETHICAL OF JAWITZ - NO PRE WARNING???
Dear Mr Broncho and Miss Swanepoel,
As Principal of Jawitz Properties Alberton, I apologise for any unclear communication experienced on behalf of the rental agent.
The delay in paperwork was not the only matter of delay in the rental process. There was also a request for deposit that had to be made as per email and sms correspondence sent from the Jawitz Properties Alberton office.
Our office had communicated to the Landlord that we had an approved tenant. Irrespective of this, whilst we were arranging necessary processes, the Landlord still had the right to continue marketing the property until all monies were paid in and lease agreements were signed. The Landlord informed us that he had let the property privately hence there was no pre-warning to the agent as well.
We agree and understand that it is most unfortunate that you were not able to lease this property and reiterate our commitment to assist you in finding something suitable.
Best regards,
