Complete disregard for tenant's rights

To whom it may concern,<br> <br> I was renting a garden cottage in Thornton through Jawitz/Linette Smith up until 31 March. She is the agent AND the owner. My deposit was not put in an interest bearing account, as required by law and as stated in the lease agreement. The original amount is also less than I actually paid.<br> <br> Furthermore, there are costs incurred after I moved out (for example fumigation - because I had two cats and it's part of the lease agreement - although there was ZERO need for it), but since I have requested to see the original invoices from the service providers (and not the debit notes from an investment account she keeps on sending), she has been ignoring my emails. (I refuse to call here as I need everything to be in writing should this matter go to court/the Tribunal.) I have no problem paying the amount, as it is part of the lease agreement, but I do have a problem with her not fulfilling her legal obligations towards me.<br> <br> Who do I take this up with as I am getting no joy from dealing with Linette herself.<br> <br> These are but two of several complaints I would actually like to bring to your attention, but my space here is limited.<br> <br> I look forward to your response.
